Alex Swetman

Alex has worked in the fields of clinical negligence and personal injury since 2017. He has been involved in the handling and settlement of cases of varying complexity and value, including cases against multiple defendants and including injury cases in excess of £1 million. He has issued cases at the High Court and dealt with cases involving Personal Injury Trusts, and the Court of Protection. Alex has a particular interest in catastrophic personal injury cases.

  • Alex’s personal injury experience includes all aspects of road traffic accidents, injuries suffered abroad, and employer's, product, and occupier's liability claims, including cases involving:
  • Severe head and brain injuries
  • Amputation
  • Multiple orthopaedic injuries
  • Complex fractures
  • Spinal injuries
  • PTSD and other significant psychological injuries.


Alex read Law with Criminology at The University of Brighton where he obtained an honours degree. He has since completed a Master’s Degree in Law and his Legal Practice Course at the University of Law.

He joined Thomson Snell & Passmore in 2022.
