Helen Williams

Helen is a qualified real estate lawyer having worked at various City firms including Frere Cholmeley Bischoff and DAC Beachcrofts before spending several years as an Associate PSL at Eversheds in London undertaking a full PSL role supporting Real Estate, Planning and Environmental teams. Following a couple of years working freelance with a training company preparing workshops for newly qualified solicitors, Helen resumed working as an in-house PSL for Thomson Snell & Passmore in 2015.

Having been a PSL for over 20 years in the City, and now at Thomson Snell & Passmore LLP, Helen has a wealth of expertise in helping fee earners find solutions to any technical and practical issues which arise in transactions. She is also key in helping fee earners and their clients stay ahead of new legislation, systems and processes, providing internal and external guidance notes, articles and training.

Achievements & other appointments

Helen is a member, and also the membership secretary, of the Association of Property Support Lawyers (APSL). The APSL is a forum for professional support lawyers who meet regularly to discuss issues of importance to lawyers representing clients predominantly in relation to commercial real estate.

Education

Helen read law at the University of Leeds where she obtained a first class honours degree and went on to complete her Law Society Finals at the College of Law in Chester where she also passed with a first class honours before undertaking her articles at Frere Cholmeley Bischoff in their London office, qualifying as a solicitor in 1995.
