Examples of work

Lender client: Appointing fixed charge receivers over a development to dispose the units on the site.

Commercial landlord client: Our client operates a metal refinery next to the River Thames, and owns land which is occupied by tenants.

The appointed liquidator did not take responsibility for many items, including the digger, the crane, the barge, as they considered these items to not belong to the liquidated tenant.

Charity client: A charity client exercised an option in a lease to terminate the lease on grounds that the premises were forced to close as a result of government legislation.

Developer client: Our client was served with a notice to complete a purchase and the seller sought to forfeit the deposit and rescind the contract before the right to do so arose.

Residential landlord client: A tenant issued a disrepair claim against our client in circumstances where the tenant damaged the property and failed to pay rent.

James graduated from University of Hertfordshire –with a 2:1 – Law with Philosophy and graduated the Legal Practice Course from BPP Law School.
