Lisa de Silva

Lisa qualified as a solicitor at a City firm, and worked at a number of City firms as a private client solicitor. She spent 25 years at leading private client firm Macfarlanes LLP, initially as a fee-earner and subsequently as a knowledge lawyer.

Lisa now works as a Professional Support Lawyer in the Estates, Tax and Succession team at Thomson Snell & Passmore. Having worked as a Professional Support Lawyer for nearly 20 years, she is adept at supporting fee-earners to stay up to date and find solutions to complex practical and technical issues.

Lisa is also a member of the Private Client PSL Forum, a group of PSL from leading private client firms across the south east.

Education

Lisa read Modern Languages and Law at Peterhouse (Cambridge University) and graduated with a 2i. She completed the Solicitors’ Final at the College of Law in Chester in 1989.

Lisa trained at Rowe & Maw (now Mayer Brown) and qualified as a solicitor in 1991. After working at Mishcon de Reya and Eversheds, Lisa joined Macfarlanes LLP in 1997 initially as a fee-earner and subsequently as a Knowledge Lawyer, and joined Thomson Snell & Passmore in 2022.
