Enforcement prosecution successfully dropped by Local Planning Authority against our client

We assisted the client on a contentious planning enforcement matter. The client was wrongly accused of submitting misleading information to the local authority in its planning application.

Upon invitation, the client attended an interview under caution. With our guidance as to how to handle the interview and the additional request for information, our client was able to provide all of the information requested by the local authority.

The client was naturally very concerned about the impact of any prosecution. As a result of our persuasive submissions and the provision of appropriate material for the local authority’s consideration, no further action was taken against the client and all accusations were withdrawn.
