Penny Edgar acted for a couple buying their first farm which consisted of a large area of arable land.

The clients were new to the agricultural scene so had to be taken through the process of granting a farm business tenancy which was completed at the same time as their acquisition, to the farmer who had been working the land for some years. The couple may take over the farming themselves in the future, so it was important to ensure that they were fully aware of all aspects of holding agricultural property and to be able to give them comprehensive advice and keep them informed during what was a lengthy transaction.
