Non-completion of auction contract 

As a result, our client relisted the property at another auction and sold the property for a much lower price than was achieved at the first auction.

Alison Sparks and James Parratt advised the client in issuing proceedings to recover the difference between the winning bid of the first auction and the winning bid of the second auction after deducting the deposit.  The claim was defended by the original purchaser

The team assisted the client to respond to the defence, following which the parties entered into without prejudice discussions and achieved a settlement.
