Alison Sparks

Alison is a specialist in the field of contentious property related matters. Alison helps clients to resolve disputes relating to property through the High Court and County Court, the appropriate Tribunal and/or through alternative dispute resolution process such as mediation. Alison provides a constructive and pragmatic approach to help clients achieve their objective in a cost effective way.

Alison works closely with colleagues in the commercial sector, including real estate and corporate commercial, assisting clients in an advisory role to address any contentious issues or issues that might become contentious at a later date.

Acted for a client in connection with a claim arising out of a buyer’s failure to complete a contract for the purchase of a department store

After a three day trial judgment was entered for the client. Subsequently negotiating the payment of the judgment debt in full including interest and costs.

Assisted a client in connection with a successful application made to the Land Registry

For a prescriptive right of way to be noted on the register for the benefit of the client’s property over an adjoining car park.

Dealing with a successful application to the Land Registry

Based on adverse possession to enable a client to acquire land to be used for a potential development of an adjoining building.

Acts for a large food retailer in connection with the management of leasehold properties

Assisted a client in connection with the resolution of a family dispute

Regarding ownership of a property and the distribution of the proceeds of sale.

Acts for a number of clients to assist with the management of their property portfolio

Including lease renewals under the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954, dilapidation claims and other breaches of covenant.
