New Commercial Partner joins Thomson Snell & Passmore

Thomson Snell & Passmore’s award winning Corporate & Commercial team has welcomed Sebastian Jones as a Partner. His appointment is a key part of ongoing growth plans for the department, led by Joanne Gallagher.

Sebastian has extensive expertise in advising on a wide range of commercial and financial services matters, having spent over 11 years as part of the in-house legal team at Barclays. Prior to that, he trained and qualified at the London office of renowned US firm Debevoise & Plimpton, as well as gaining experience working in various teams at Linklaters.

He combines deep and broad legal experience with extensive business insight, allowing him to understand clients’ business objectives and meet their commercial needs. Sebastian has also acted as a Non-Executive Director, helping to set up a successful Medispa clinic in London. This gave him specific insight into the challenges of running a business and the importance of viewing all legal matters through a commercial lens.

Thomson Snell & Passmore’s Corporate & Commercial team has built up a reputation for providing highly commercial advice to help ambitious, mid-market businesses develop and grow. The firm’s commercial lawyers draw on legal, commercial and industry expertise, to fulfil the role of trusted ‘in-house counsel’ or to act as an extension to an in-house legal team.
