‘Wonder Women: Inspiring stories and insightful interviews with women in marketing’ by Katy Mousinho and Giles Lury, launches today, featuring an interview with Sarah Henwood.
In the interview, Sarah answers questions about her career – which originally started out in marketing – as part of this new book which explores women in marketing. Although now CEO at Thomson Snell & Passmore, Sarah was actually the first graduate to be recruited into the marketing function at PWC.
The authors wanted to bring to life stories of some of the women who have had a tremendous influence on the marketing industry, like Brownie Wise, who transformed Tupperware and Mary Wells Lawrence, who founded the advertising agency Wells, Rich, Greene. There are interviews with the co-founder of Dunnhumby, the data behind the Tesco Clubcard - Edwina Dunn OBE, Senior Vice President, Arla Foods Denmark, previously the only female country CEO in Carlsberg - Helle Muller Petersen and many more.
Commenting on the book launch, Sarah says: “I was honoured to be asked, and delighted to take part in this great new book. In my opinion, having got through the last challenging year of a global pandemic, we are all wonder women! However, it is important to shine a light on the great contribution many women have had on the marketing industry, to help inspire the next generation of marketers, both men and women.”
