Quarantine and employees returning from international travel
The travel corridors list included many popular European holiday destinations, except for the notable exception of Portugal. However on 25 July 2020 the government announced without warning that Spain was being removed from this list, including the Spanish islands.
Recovering training costs from departing employees
During an employee’s employment, you may well pay for them to attend training courses. This involves an upfront investment by the business in the employee as you would not normally reap the benefits of the training until after it has been completed.
Redundancy pay whilst on Furlough

The bonus is being introduced to provide additional support to employers who keep on their furloughed employees in meaningful employment, after the government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (the Scheme) ends on 31 October 2020.
